The Jackloc Company is delighted that The Titan folding window restrictor has been awarded Secured by Design status in recognition of its strength and effectiveness at preventing crime.
Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit.
The Secured by Design product based accreditation scheme provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime.
The Titan lockable window restrictor was designed to excel at providing window safety and security, preventing falls while also securing homes against burglars attempting to enter through opening windows.
The Jackloc commitment to designing and manufacturing the very best window security restrictor has been recognised with this latest accreditation, in addition to the already established Sold Secure approval.
The FIRST commercially available window restrictor to join Secured by Design
The Jackloc team are proud that this UK designed and manufactured product is the first folding window safety restrictor to achieve the SBD accreditation, officially confirming that Jackloc Titan window locks are the most secure window restrictors available. Alongside the Sold Secure approval, it is reassuring that the Titan window restrictor has been officially recognised to help reduce crime and improve window safety.

The Secured by Design focus is on the critical factors that combine to deliver a product’s performance – design, use, quality control and the ability to deter or prevent crime – and these products or services are known as being of a ‘Police Preferred Specification’.
Independently tested and approved
Police Preferred Specification ensures that products have been independently tested to a relevant security standard and fully certified by an independent third-party. In addition, it requires regular re-testing and annual inspection of the manufacturing facility to ensure quality and performance are maintained.
