During the fortnight, Jack had the opportunity to gain an overview of all elements of the business from order processing to packaging, spending time with each individual member of the team. He even got to join in the celebrations at the Chamber of Commerce awards at which Jackloc were announced as one of three finalists within the East Midlands Chamber Small Business of the Year category. Jack commented: “I have really enjoyed my time at Jackloc. I have always felt very honoured that my Grandad named the product after me and proud of my mother and Aunts for making the company such a success. It meant a lot to be able to see for myself all of the hard work which goes into running the business and the vital part each person plays.” Company director and sister to Deborah and Emma, Judith Burrows adds: “We were delighted to have Jack join the family business. It only seems right that as the inspiration for the product name, he was able to witness first-hand what Jackloc has become and the fantastic work we are doing all around the world. “The business has certainly grown substantially since Jackloc was founded back in 2003 and we were very proud to show Jack what his grandfather and mother helped to create. We hope that one day he might become a permanent member of the team.” Over the last year, Jackloc has continued expanding into new overseas markets and won a landmark legal battle to protect its brand. The company has also stepped up its awareness-raising campaign work, crusading the guiding ethos which drives the business; to save lives all over the world by reducing the risk of falls from windows.
